Henderson Lake, Paradise Canyon golf courses open to public

It’s officially golf season in southern Alberta.

Both Henderson Lake and Paradise Canyon golf courses opened their tee sheets to the public over the weekend, nearly four weeks earlier than last year’s starting date.

Head professional at Henderson Lake, Cam Waldbauer, says the course will be more accessible to new golfers to help grow the game amongst players that may not have tried before.

Waldbauer notes the course will experience frost delays in the early morning for the next week as temperatures remain in the single digits.

Henderson will host four main tournaments on each of the long weekends this year.

Meanwhile, Paradise Canyon will once again host the Lethbridge Paradise Canyon Open, a Mackenzie Tour event, in late July.
