Troy Reeb, senior vice president of Global came to Lethbridge College to speak about his internship opportunity for Digital Communications and Media (DCM) students.

Reeb began the internship more than 10 years ago to help give students a temporary quick step. He also believes on giving back to the program that started him off on his career.

Meagan Williams, last year’s winner, says she found the experience overwhelming at first, but it was the perfect opportunity to network. If you are given an inch, take a mile she says.

“She has a great capacity to take things on,” said Pete Gingras, a DCM instructor at the college.

When asked what advice she has for students still in school, Williams says you have to be your biggest advocate.

“Be somebody and let your personality come through” says Reeb.

Students will be writing their internship entries this January and a winner will be selected in May.
